The Adjustment Bureau was a good movie, good movie. It was a somewhat twisted, love story. It could've been totally perceived as being ridiculous, on the other hand, quite smart. Funny in some parts. HAT HAT.

Best part of the day:

After the movie, Esther goes to a door and went "hey guys, guys" suspiciously. [NEVERMIND INSIDE JOKE MUCH OKAY]

I love tropicana city mall and all, but after walking five minutes around the mall you keep coming back to the same place. Which kinda makes sense since I said around. Gosh sabreena what is up with you tonight -____-

We wanted to yum cha at Murni's but it is Monday, and it is closed on monday nights. So we headed to Starbucks instead. It was superbly serene upstairs because it was so comfortable and nobody was there. We conquered the whole area and talked like I swear, it was a forum. It was a whole gossip+intellectual convo all wrapped into one haha.

STARTING THE NOTE OFF, my batch name is Clarions.

* I totally wanted to put an image portraying something somewhat clarion-like, but when I google image-d it all the came out were pictures of speakers, which is totally understandable since clarion means LOUD and OUTSPOKEN.

Anyway,

on the 3rd to 5th of April, Clarions attended a motivational camp in Gombak. Things I felt weird about:

-leaving for camp not from home.

-returning from camp not to home

-going to a camp a half an hour drive away

Where is the long bus ride people? Oh well. The dorexx-ians entertained us throughout the journey, taking song requests from everyone. When we arrived there we had to go down this steep staircase. And for our dorms, wow. Seriously everyone wanted to get back to SESERI so badly (yea that's how bad it was :P) It was totally made out of wood. The beds looked like it had not been slept on for decades. The toilet was UNIMAGINABLE. Everyone was all " we're all bathing together!"

Wanna know the worst part?

THERE WERE FROGS IN THE DORM

FROGS, PLURAL NOUN.

WHADDUP WITH THAT?

It jumped off the freaking pillow on the bed -____- Not good for ranidophobes yo.

I thought the food was okay, sure the rice was uncooked and all. I got a bit annoyed by people who complained about the food because, okay I am not trying to be a saint and all but seriously, the food wasn't SO bad. At least we have food.

Pushing those things aside, the camp was actually fun :) Yeah I have to admit, it was a HUGE dread at first but as time passed by the whole point of us being there surfaced and we embraced it like the clarions we are :) (okay that didnt make sense).

Nightwalk was kind of annoying. I hate night owl activities (refer to my old blog, prefect's camp post 2008). I just KNEW they were going to have one. I was praying super hard for them not to leave us in the jungle alone. We were all walking+jogging+power walking in god knows where. Due to Encik Hadip's kind reminder to the facilitators to take it easy on us girls, they let us off easy with us finding our way back to the campsite, 5 by 5. When my group and I were walking back, I don't know whether we were walking too slow or something but the group after us caught up with us and it ended up being the ten of us walking back together. During our walk back, there was this huge bundle off the road, making weird noises and movements. At the same time we were caught off guard by the bundle, a boar dashes across the street. DASHED, not ran. Supah-cool in a way.

Of course, the bundle was a facilitator.

I think everyone agrees that jungle trekking was the most fun part of the camp. We crossed the river, walked in a tunnel, lifted our hands up when we walked to avoid thorns, only having our clothes get caught up in the thorns, and walked back in the rain <3>

I think the camp was something we really needed. Abang Jo, the main facilitator stressed on how much we had to stop getting into cliques and stuff. I think the teamwork we need the most in is in class, because your classmates will always be the ones with you throughout these 2 major years of our secondary school life.

At one point during the jungle trekking, I felt really awkward. I mean, it was always camp with DJ-ians. It was the first time camping with the students from my new school. Then the whole 'gosh sabreena you're in SESERI now!' thing kicked in hohoho :D

But best moments, jungle trekking, crossing the rivers, the walk/run under the tunnel, everyone playing around in the river and WASHING YOUR OWN DISHES :)

Moment that spoiled the serenity of the jungle: Seeing a busy highway when we looked up -___- That's what you get for camping in KL.

Gosh I never realized how much I missed going for camps. Jungle trekking and stuff, sighs. White water rafting, anyone?

Mama! What can I say about HER. I really dont think i can find another mom quite like her, really. SERIOUSLY. She on-s a song and dances like nobody's business and more things so embarassing I cant even say. She has filled the gap of a sister I have never had. I love that I can still sleep with my mom ( hey it helps after you watch a really scary movie alright). Celebrated her bday at The Ship, KL.

After all the blood, sweat and tears we put on planning your party, it finally happened :O We celebrated her 16th on the 16th of January (well 17th was a Sunday, and we cant party all night long if monday was coming). We reached redbox in the Curve a bit later than everyone else did hmm. Food was so awesome.Had fun screaming into the mics while Sam keeps reminding me not to shout since I had a sore throat :( Room deco=fail win? yeah imma call it that HAHA. And I couldnt sleepover that night due to me having fever so I took a nap anyway before going home when we got back to her house, and she DELIBERATELY did not wake me up. figures hahahha. Im glad I did anyway kay. and the karaoke room was the bomb okay. I did not expect it at all. They had a lounge and a personal toilet. HUGE somemore. NICE.

Thanks for being the awesome-est friend. You're my best best best friend, you know that? I love that we have so much in common. I love that the stuff we dont have in common, we back it up by complementing each other (like ya know, strumming and plucking). I love that we have childish fights. I love that when we see something that triggers memories, we just have to look at each other and we already know what is on the other's mind. I love that I can call you and talk about nothing (its getting harder to get you on the phone nowadays btw, stop putting your phone on silent when u sleep!). I love how when I have nothing to do I can text you to save my day. I love how you're, well, my friend.

I know I am not the perfect friend and that I am so utterly unbearable sometimes. forgive me can?(i was so wrong forgeeeeve mehhhh) [inside joke] Tell me when I am being an ass okay :) You are gorgeous and don't let your low self esteem brain tell you otherwise. Kevin Jonas and longtime girlfriend Danielle Deleasa were wed in a private ceremony at Oheka Castle in Long Island on Saturday night!

41st Interact Conference

While most of you fine people were getting ready for the big 007 event, I on the other hand was on my way to Nilai for an Interact Conference. Interactors from all over Malaysia gathered in one place for the camp! Interactors from our school that attended were ME (L,duh), Iman, Shirlie, Siew Sanz, Ai Ling, Adrian and Tze Han. Our room was okay, better than what I expected (they asked us to bring our own blanket and pillow, so I assumed we were supposed to sleep on the floor). We stayed in the student's dorm of course. My god, the distance from the multi purpose hall to our dorm was insane. We had to walk for like 7 mins before reaching either way. AND, the girls rooms were on the 4th, the topmost floor. I never really understood the term 'thighs burning', but I did THEN.

Anyway, first activity, ice breaking session. TOTAL FAILURE (ahah sandra). No la it wasnt a total failure. I said that cause well it was blazing hot and for the first station, we had to use whatever we're wearing to make the longest line. Team versus team of course. So yes most of us took off our shoes AND socks, handphones, shoeLACES, bags, tags, and guys DID take their shirts off. Second station, our team was so lost. It was "pass-the-message" kinda game ya know, so er no elaborations cause really, I am not sure what happened. Last station, the chair game. Each team got 5 chairs and we had to use them to get to the other side without having physical contact with the ground. Apparently, the moral was to gather all team's chairs to make one straight line. YUP.

Tea break.

Then uhhh, speech? I tell you, the speakers for this camp really rule. Mr Gerrard Lazarus was so freaking funny and cool okay! Ah, schools should hire the speakers from this camp. And Datin Paduka Sharifah Mazline, the first asian woman to have travelled the north pole and the south pole showed us pictures and shared her experience. Wow man, her determination is really something to be admired.

SLEEP. Well not really, talk talk, then sleep. I had to hug something ( I didnt have an extra pillow to hug) so I hugged iman, but she was being really uncomfortable that night. So I hugged the bed railing, ow back pain the next day.

We had to wear our Interact uniform for todayyy. I really did not see the point of it, but blahh. I like out interact uniform haha. Then at night, was formal night which seriously memang nobody saw the point of! We were like freaking out about what to wear and everything. I pictured round tables with chairs around but NO, they arranged the chairs like how chairs are usually arranged in halls (line by line). So really, what is formal night?! And we had to cut it short cause there was yet another speech. The beatbox performance was awesome I must say.

Tonight, all five of us girls ended up in our bedroom. Siew and Shirlie on one bed, Ai Ling, Iman and I on one bed. Siew told us ghost stories before we went to sleep, so when our room door was shaking I quicly woke Iman up and she freaking ignored me for a few seconds saying 'its just a wind its just the wind'. I WAS FREAKING SCARED OKAY. Ai Ling couldnt take the lack of space so she moved back to her room at 4

What happened today? Oh yea treasure hunt I think. Andddd, oh oh! Talentine happened. Each group was supposed to perform and we were only informed abous this when we started the conference so the time to practice was very limited. I did not participate, cause well what can I do haha. but my group did win (yay). Siew Sanz's group got third (yay). It was a really fun event actually! Screaming here and there. The very obscene performances! One group performed a skit on how our generation keeps questioning things and go "why?" "why?" "why?", and after they showed the scene, everytime the narrator says something the audience will go "why? why? why?" like the little pests we are :)This was probably the best night of the camp? cause us DJ girls were quite slow in making friends in the camp but at the last night we made tons :D Everyone was up and we were given a lot of time to stay awake, cause they know we wanna have funnnn. So we took pictures, then more people joined and more and more. When we thought of walking back to out rooms, we ended up talking to more people and more pictures and you get the picture. Er, we played 'my mother went to the market'. Cool huh :D

For tonight, we combined our beds and arranged ourselves properly to bed :) Gossiped first of course heehee.

We woke up quite late I guess? Slept so well.

Last day (awwww cue). Talked and talked with our newfound friends, lunch, waited for my dad. CIAO CIAO.

You see, Iman was one of the winners for the lucky draw, but she was not in the hall during the prize giving so we reenacted the prize giving to iman in our room heeee.
